The Building Manager training session on July 17th raised questions from the audience about the work order process. The National Weather Service may issue a Red Flag warning because of critical fire weather patterns.  As a result, the Dish and Matadero Trail may be closed without warning for the rest of the fire season.  Should the Dish or Matedero Trail be closed, hikers would be evacuated, the gates would be locked and a red flag would be hung at the entrance, signifying fire danger.  Check before you go dish.stanford.edu

Three Books is a student orientation program for first-year and transfer students.  I've always enjoyed reading the books selected.  The 2017 faculty moderator, Dr. Noah Diffenbaugh, professor in the School of Earth, Energy and Enviroment Sciences selected books with themes of sustainability and equity.   Three Books
