I would like to thank everyone for their participation at Mass in our 10 parishes on Sunday, January 21st.
Our Open House took place yesterday Sunday, January 28th from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The day was a great success. We had over 22 families tour our school. My heartfelt thanks to the staff, students & parents who donated their services to make it a successful day.
We will celebrate Catholic School's Week beginning today Monday, January 29th until February 2nd. Each day will have different themes and activities to celebrate our Catholic community. Some highlights will be an anti-bullying program directed by Kevin Dowd of Boston College. Kevin's program dwells on kindness, love, and the golden rule to combat bullying; making sandwiches for the St. Vincent DePaul Center, and a prayer service for Consecrated Life.
On Friday February 2, 2018, we will come together as a school community at the Pasta Dinner to raise money for one of our own - Oli Obi, a 4th grade student here at JP2. His sister Nneoma choked on a piece of meat in October of 2015 and was deprived of oxygen. Nneoma has been in a minimally conscious state since that time. Both parents are working 2 jobs to defer the medical expenses. Forms went home with all students last week for the pasta dinner. Please consider coming and donating to this worthy cause.
You can download a copy of the form HERE.
Also, I want to thank those parents who have completed our on-line parent satisfaction survey. If you have not taken the survey you still may do so. The initial results are positive, and we will share the final results with you during the first week of February.
May God continue to bless you and your families.
