Dear Families,

On Sunday, December 3rd, we began our Advent Journey, which is leading us to blessed Christmas Day.  As we have journeyed through these weeks, we have anticipated and prepared the children for the birthday of Jesus. The children in various grades have  listened to the Christmas Story, sung Happy Birthday to Jesus, told the story of Jesus's birth in our Christmas play "The Twelve Days of Christmas"  and received the Sacrament of Reconciliation, all in preparation for Christ's birth.  Morning assembly has included praying the Rosary and students have also participated in community service, prayed and sung songs and completed art projects to help them reflect on the season.

I pray that you have had some time or will find some time over Christmas break to grow closer to God and to one another and to truly see the holiness of Christmas.  There is no greater gift given to us than the gift of life. God gave us his only Son so we can have eternal life.  Please continue to keep love at the center of your Christmas preparations. Pray often, attend Mass on the 24th - the last Sunday of Advent, attend Christmas liturgy and pray for peace in our world.

I wish you a blessed Christmas filled with peace, joy and cherished moments.
