Federal and Ontario Governments invest up to $142M in Oakville Ford Plant
The federal government announced last week it would provide up to $71.6 million in funding to support the transformation of the Ford Motor Company of Canada's Oakville Assembly plant into a state-of-the-art global manufacturing facility.
The Government of Ontario is also supporting Ford's project by providing a grant of up to $70.9 million. Read more �

Top Story from QP Briefing: Ford, Ottawa, Queen's Park invest $840 million in retooled Oakville plant
Calling it an "investment in wealth creation", Premier Kathleen Wynne, Economic Development, Trade and Employment Minister Eric Hoskinsand federal cabinet ministers unveiled $140 million in financial assistance, intended to guarantee a further $700 million in investment from Ford Motor Company. Ford confirmed today the previously-reported investment in the Oakville Assembly Plant, and retooling the plant for Ford's "global platform" line. The scale of the investment and the flexibility of the plant are hoped to anchor the 2,800 jobs at the 487-acre site. Read more �
