Family Mission Trip
Each year a group of families from Guardian Angels Parish take a week out of their summer to spread God’s love by serving those in need. The 2018 Family Mission Trip took place in June in Frenchburg, Kentucky. GA parishioners team up with Glenmary Sisters for a specific project.

This year, the GA team completed a home makeover. The trailer Nancy was living in wasn’t expected to last much longer so it was necessary to repair an old house on her property so she could move in there. So much work was put into this project! Guardian Angels families finished a deck, installed new siding, repaired the roof, and installed subflooring in the bathroom and a new door. They replaced a window, painted inside, and installed a new staircase.

News From Guardian Angels School
Grand Re-Opening of the School on August 19th After Noon Mass
We invite our entire Guardian Angels community to see our newly renovated school! Over the summer, a new entrance was constructed, restrooms were added to the preschool wing and updated in the undercroft, a junior high learning center was created, and classrooms were relocated.
Please enter through our brand new front entrance. The building will be open from 1:00-2:30pm on Sunday, August 19th.
PTA Welcomes Back Our GA Staff, Students, and Families
It was a big summer at GA as the PTA finished up some major projects. The Angels Glass Project was installed inside the front entrance and looks fantastic! We also renovated the staff lounge to include new cabinetry, countertops, furniture and fresh paint.

Thank you to our parishioners Dan Frey of Foxfire Properties and John Von Holle of Midwestern Plumbing for partnering to make the staff lounge project a success. Also thank you to the 2018 eighth grade class which donated the new table and chairs for the lounge.

We are very pleased and could not have completed these projects without the support from our GA community. We look forward to another great year!
Boosters Donation Goes Towards Junior High Learning Center
Thank you to the Athletic Boosters for their generous donation to accommodate the building swap that took place over the summer!

Our preschool has expanded to include three full-day classes for the 2018-2019 school year. This growth meant that kindergarten needed to move out of t hat wing. The result of this move allowed the school to move all classrooms to areas where they are most developmentally appropriate. The annex portion of the building now hosts our primary wing, serving kindergarten through 3rd grade. The first floor of the Beechmont building serves grades 4-6, and the second (top) floor of the Beechmont building is a dedicated space for junior high.

Along with this dedicated space, a Junior High Learning Center was created. The donation provided by the Boosters was used to purchase the furniture that fills this new center. It features flexible and dynamic seating options to create a new collaborative space for our junior high students.
