Dear Members and Friends,
We are excited to start the summer not only with a new design for our ChamberBrief but also with the election of a new Chairman of the Board of Directors: Peter Riehle, President and CEO of WITTENSTEIN holding Corp. Peter had previously served as Vice Chairman of GACC Midwest, and has been a leading supporter in developing German-style apprenticeship programs in the US. Peter Riehle succeeds Dr. Walter Maisel, President & Executive Partner at Seraph. We would like to thank Dr. Maisel for his leadership and longstanding commitment to our organization. We're looking forward to driving the mission of GACC Midwest forward with Mr. Riehle.

This summer, a very special event is approaching: the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. We’re looking forward for a fun-filled summer full of soccer and are ready to cheer on the German national team from Chicago . As a special treat for our members we are once again teaming up with the Chicago Fire again for our family-friendly Soccer Social on August 11. Tickets for this event sold out quickly last year – don't miss your chance to save your seats now.

Enjoy the Read!
