9:30am: Program

Join us for a time of honoring those who have sacrificially served our country at our K-12 Veterans Day Celebration. Instilling a love and appreciation for our country in our students' hearts is of great importance to us. This event is a visual representation of our campus BEING ONE to show our thankfulness for our troops, of our freedom, and to our God.

During the last ten school days, we took some time to recognize 10 aspects of GCA that make it a special place to be. Thank you for celebrating those 10 days with us as we showered everyone from our faculty to the facilities team with gratefulness. You should have received a pamphlet in the mail explaining the purpose and impact of the GCA Fund. We would like to reiterate that EVERY GIFT MATTERS. The financial support provided through the GCA Fund allows us to continue offering a distinctively Christian, academically excellent experience for students and families.

We hope you will begin to prayerfully consider giving to the GCA Fund in support of the mission of Grace Christian Academy: to lead, build, and equip students to serve Christ.

Then donate those codes (found inside the caps or packaging) from the Coke products to GCA!  Sign in to your account on Coke.com (you will need to make an account if you don't have one), click on the GIVE tab, then click on Donate to your Local School.  Type 37931 in the Search School field and scroll to the bottom to find GCA.  Type in the product code (or scan the code with your phone) and click enter.  You may enter an UNLIMITED number of product codes AND right now Coke is doubling the donations, so each cap code is worth $0.10 (donation doubling ends at 11:59pm on Nov 17th.)  No time to enter the codes?  Then bring those product codes to either GCA office

Attention juniors and seniors!
Registration for Winterim internships begins soon! Students are required to spend 30 volunteer hours with the organization, and the dates are March 5-9, 2018. Although students are required to secure their own placement, see Mrs. Nordhorn if you need assistance. ( anordhorn@gcarams.org ; 865.934.4782)

Check out the Catalog of Courses for classes that have been taught in the past.

The Winterim experience affords GCA Upper School students an opportunity to "learn outside the walls of the
traditional classroom." Students can travel, participate in internships, or take specialized courses. We are seeking the expertise of the entire GCA community to facilitate on-campus classes for Winterim 2018! If you have a skill or hobby
that you would like to share with students, please contact Mrs. Nordhorn - info above.

NEW MENS' SOCCER COACH ANNOUNCED!
As life presents change, we must learn to transition and are allowed to see God's provision. After serving as GCA's Boys Soccer Coach for 3 seasons, Luc Dessieux will be stepping down to spend more time with his family, devoting that time to focusing on his responsibilities as a godly husband and father. We support his decision and are grateful for his impact on our soccer program during his time at GCA. Thankfully our search for the next Head Coach of the GCA Rams Boys Soccer Coach will not have us stray far. We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Assistant Coach Paul Carrasco into the Head Coach position!

Paul has been the assistant coach for the Upper School boys for the last 3 years and, before that, served as assistant coach for the GCA Middle School team. He holds a National Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and has over 14 years of coaching experience at the Division 1 and Regional Premier League levels. Paul is a graduate of Liberty University where he was a member of the Flames soccer team. Before that, he played for the youth national team and pro teams in Bolivia and Argentina. Paul is looking forward to continuing to build the boys soccer program at GCA.
