FROM THE PRINCIPAL--Dr. Greg Gerard
Thank you to all of the parents who were able to come to GCA for our Parents' Weekend. We enjoyed having so many of our families on campus. Our students did an outstanding job of leading out in worship through music, spoken word, drama and just being present and engaged. Thank you to everyone who helped plan Parents' Weekend and those who put in extra time and effort to make everything special. This weekend is coordinated by our Alumni and Development team - Laura Dancek and Nancy Gerard. Thank you to them and everyone else who made the weekend a great experience.
We will be sending a survey via email to all parents. This survey will help us make decisions about Parents' Weekend next year, as well as calendar issues and challenges. Watch your email for the survey. We value your input and want to make sure we are meeting the needs of parents and students.
GCA Scholars
- Students who are involved with the GCA Scholars program participated in a PSAT test preparation program this past Sunday afternoon. The group spent almost four hours being coached via a skype presentation by an individual who coaches for test prep professionally. The PSAT is being given Wednesday of this week here at GCA.
College Fair
- Recruiters from 11 colleges and universities came to GCA Tuesday for our annual College Fair. Juniors and seniors were able to meet with the recruiters individually to discuss academic programs of the Adventist colleges and universities of North America. During the October home leave break a group of students is traveling to Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska for a visit.
Home Leave Break -
If you are planning to use GCA home leave transportation north or south, please make sure you make arrangements with the business office right away. Payment must be made in advance. Classes on Wednesday morning October 18 are the afternoon B classes.
