"As a high school student, I have faced many obstacles and encounters similar to my peers, but the GEAR UP program has been able to aid me in cultivating that courage and providing me the resources so that I can better fulfill my dreams as I pursue an education in college. GEAR UP has impacted me insomuch that I have been able to maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA and a high ACT score. This has opened up many doors of opportunity in which many colleges have reached out to me as well as scholarship programs. I also have been selected to participate in the National Youth Leadership Summit in Washington D.C. this summer and I could not be more ecstatic! I know that this is an incredible opportunity and I’m extremely grateful towards GEAR UP for supporting me and helping me see my potential."
