March is National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (DDAM).  As such, NACDD is launching a social media campaign, "Side-by-Side" (#SideBySide), to highlight community inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in everyday life. 

For the campaign, partnering organizations will encourage people both in and outside of their networks to use Facebook and Twitter to post a photo, video or story that shows how people with and without developmental disabilities are impacting communities around the nation.

 During the campaign, you will receive four emails (one/week) that will highlight a different area of community, such as, employment, volunteerism, school, recreation etc. The emails will be educational as well, featuring statistical information, quotes and facts related to developmental disabilities and resources to share.

• To get involved, NACDD asks that you simply forward these emails to your network, post on your social media channels and encourage all to participate.The emails will be posted on NACDD's website and link to NACDD's Facebook page so participants can easily submit their entries. Once express consent is obtained for select entries, they could possibly be used for future advocacy efforts, campaigns, and publications. 

• To encourage a unified national presence, NACDD has developed a Facebook cover image for you to post during the month of March. The Facebook cover images are available in black, blue, green, orange, and purple and Turquoise and are linked below for your convenience.
   
• The first of four emails will be distributed on Thursday February 27th to prepare for the March 1st launch. The following three emails will be sent each Thursday in March for you to forward.
