Consolidated Theatres has teamed up with GKIDS, a distributor of award-winning animation for both adult and family audiences, to present a retrospective of animated films from around the world. GKIDS: ANIMATED WORLD will celebrate 5 years of GKIDS classics and will feature seven films, including Oscar nominated films THE SECRET OF KELLS (2009), A CAT IN PARIS (2011) and ERNEST & CELESTINE (2012) as well as other animated classics including Studio Ghibli's MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO(1988). All films in the series are dubbed in English to accommodate our keiki moviegoers.

Magic, fantasy, and Celtic mythology come together in a riot of color and detail in Oscar nominated animated film THE SECRET OF KELLS. The film features the voices of Brendan Gleeson (HARRY POTTER), Mick Lally, Evan McGuire and Christen Mooney. Young Brendan lives in a medieval outpost under siege from barbarians, but adventure beckons when a celebrated master illuminator arrives, carrying an ancient but unfinished illuminated manuscript. To help complete the magical book, Brendan must overcome his deepest fears on a dangerous quest that takes him into an enchanted forest.
