Vote in Tuesday's Election

Election day is Tuesday, November 8, 2011. Please use the below links to make an informed decision.

 

- The League of Women Voters has produced a voter's guide to the proposed constitutional ammendments. 

 

- For all election information for Montgomery County, visit the Elections Web site.

 

- If you are seeking input on the 10 Texas State Constitutional Amendments, go to Senator Tommy Williams's website which provides the advantages and disadvantages of each.  The information can be found at http://www.williams.senate.state.tx.us/#Press under Newsletter.

 

- The Woodlands Township Board of Directors has called for a Special Election to determine whether the Township will adopt the state law on collective bargaining for firefighters that may be employed by the Township.

Proposed Power Lines Near High Oaks and Grogan's Point receives more opposition
 
The GMVA has sent a letter to the Texas Public Utilities Commission supporting The Woodlands Township's Resolution in opposition of the proposed Springwoods Project for the reasons well stated in their resolution and letters.

Grogan's Mill Farmer's Market is Now Year-Round
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sign for Farmer's Market The Grogan's Mill Farmer's Market opened for good, on Saturday, October 1st at the usual site of the Grogan's Mill Village Center.  The Market announced that it is now a year-round market and will be open every Saturday, except for some holidays.  Your favorite vendors have returned along with some new additions.   If you want information on becoming a vendor please visit our website for applications.  Home gardeners are welcome to come sell your surplus produce in the Gardener's Corner.  Again, see the application on line for specific instructions. 

 

Randy Scott of The Woodlands Commentary wrote a nice article about opening day at the Grogan's Mill Farmer's Market.

It is time for the Elderly Drive Again.

Some of our elderly friends, end up in small nursing centers and sometimes, are forgotten. We at N Style Salon will be collecting items, then, right before Christmas, we will be delivering "goodie bags".
Please help make this Christmas a special time for these folks.
