|Village Elections Results
Nine candidates ran for the seven open positions as Area Representatives on the GMVA Board. Those elected were Jim Upham, Sally Johnson, Matt Beasley, William Sargent, Franklin Palmer, Bruce Cunningham, Deborah Sargeant. We thank all those who voted and especially all of the candidates, for being active participants in the community. At its meeting Monday, the Board elected Deborah Sargeant - President, Dana Denton - Vice President, Pat Goodpastor - Secretary, Bob Leilich - Treasurer.
In the RDRC elections the five incumbents were uncontested and were all reelected, Jorge Slater, Bob Leilich, Vince Frederick, Rex Campbell and Robbie Brundrett.

Free CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Training course-
The Fire Department is currently taking sign-ups for The Woodlands CERT class, scheduled to commence on February 22nd

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~All GM residents are invited to attend The GMVA's Annual Planning Meeting which will be held on Saturday, March 5, at the offices of the LGI Homes, 19221 I45, Suite 200, Shenandoah Texas. (On the southeast corner of Tamina Road and the I 45 feeder.) This is where we set our priorities for projects and events for the upcoming year as well as the budget. You are welcome to speak and make your wishes known.
Touch A Truck Event ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Get up close and personal with all kinds of big trucks. Saturday, February 26, 9 to 11 a.m. at the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center. Fun for the entire family! Free event!
|N Style Salon's Elderly Drive is a Great Success
Local business, N Style Salon, recently hosted an elderly drive to collect items for local seniors. She delivered the items this past Valentine's Day. She reports that the seniors were so happy with the unexpected gifts.
N Style has been doing this for about 5 years now and Nina intends to continue because it is a wonderful experience.

|Get Ready for the Spring Flea Market
Vendor tickets for the Flea Market will be sold at the Panther Creek Village Center Saturday, March 5, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. After that, remaining tickets will be on sale at the Township Service Building, Lake Woodlands Drive, on business days, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Community-wide Spring Flea market will be held on March 26th at the Town Center Garage (off of Six Pines & Lake Robbins).
The GMVA needs volunteers for this event. Please contact any Board member if you are interested.
