From THE WOODLANDS TOWNSHIP:
Between now and May 2014, The Woodlands Township Board of Directors will be facilitating a process that will include research, analysis, and dialogue with citizens, businesses, and service providers. The purpose of this process is to determine what, if any, adjustments need to be made to the current governance structure to lead the community into the future. If additional changes to governance are desired, implementation steps will be outlined to guide the community toward its desired future.
As we initiate this process, the Township has asked its governance consultant to elicit feedback from residents through a series of facilitated small group discussions (between 10 and 15 people each). Our goal is to have a random and broad cross-section of the community represented in each of the small groups. It is not important for participants to have an understanding of the existing governance structure or to have been involved past governance activities. We would like to invite you to participate in this very important opportunity to help shape the future of The Woodlands!
If you are interested in this opportunity, please fill out the form (see back) and return it by July 15, 2011 indicating what discussion group(s) you are available to attend. Of those who indicate their interest, up to 15 will be randomly selected to participate in the discussion group; notification of selection will be completed by July 19. Residents who are selected will be personally contacted.
We hope you will be interested in this opportunity and thank you in advance for your consideration. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Karen Dempsey at 281.210.3800 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
