Upgrades for Sawmill Park
The Township has voted to spend $500,000 on upgrading Sawmill Park next year. Exact plans have not been finalized but money will probably go to both the pool and sports fields.

We have heard from some residents, but would like to hear more. If you have ideas on what you would like to see done please let us know by reply email or comment on the Grogan's Mill Facebook page.

The GMVA Board has obtained a clearer satellite view of Sawmill Park, so you can see the area we have to work with.

Holiday Lighting Contest ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Responsibility for the annual Holiday Lighting Contest, previously sponsored by The Woodlands Township and The Community Associations prior to the formation of The Township, has now been transferred to each individual Village Association to administer. The GMVA Board, recognizing that there are numerous homes and neighborhoods within our Village worthy of recognition, has restructured the contest this year and therefore announces the 2010 GMVA Holiday Decoration Certificate of Merit contest.

Board members will drive each street in Grogans Mill and note residential holiday decoration displays which are particularly noteworthy for their creativity and style. Each residence selected will receive a personalized Certificate of Merit recognizing their holiday display. A number of houses in each section of the Village will be selected, so that we will have a number of families receiving certificates.

Certificates and letters of appreciate from the Board will be mailed the week after Christmas.

We look forward to posting pictures of the Certificate of Merit winners on the GMVA Web site and in future issues of this newsletter.
