CONGRATULATIONS
 
Louisiana finished very strong in the recent USTA League 40 & Over Southern Sectional Championships.  Louisiana had three winners and two finalists.  There were over 80 teams and 900 players in two different cities. Ashville, NC hosted the 3.0 & 4.0 men's and women's teams and Mobile hosted the 3.5 and 4.5+ teams.

Looking for 70 & Over team for the October tournament.  Also there are teams, men and women, in the 3.5 level that are still looking for players.

If you are interested in playing but do not have a team, please send me your name and contact number and I will see about getting you on a team.  Players must be 70 years old by December 31, 2013.
USTA FREE CLINICS  

 
Next FREE  clinic for youth and adults will be held at the Audubon Tennis Center,
6320 Tchoupitoulas Street on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 11-12.
Many volunteers are on hand to teach the basics of tennis in an active and fun way.

Xavier University's Gold Rush signs five players for the 2-13-14 Season  
 
Coach Allen Green announced recently the signing of the largest class in his 11 years as the tennis coach.  They are:  Adam Albrecht, Czech Republic; Kevin Chaousat, France; Vincent Ciccone, Brooklyn, NY; Jordan Hareell of Lithonia, GA;  and Tushar Mandleka of India.
