This is an easy way to support GRMS PTO.

It is time for our first collection competition. The homeroom that collects the most Boxtops, Labels for Education and Tyson A+ Labels from 11/2 -11/18 will receive a CUPCAKE party!!!
We would like to urge students and their families to bring in these items!!!
IMPORTANT: Send all collected items to Mrs. Melgard in a bag or envelope with their homeroom teacher's name on the front.
BoxTops support our GRMS ESE students and Labels for Education and Tyson A+ Rewards support our amazing GRMS PTO!!
Reminder: 7th grade is still collecting soda pop tabs for Ronald McDonald House...
Thanks for the help.

News from the Media Center

GRMS Festival of the Arts
Please join us to celebrate the arts on Thursday evening November 3rd from 5:30-8:00 PM. There is a $2 cover charge to attend to see all the events.  Beginning at 5:30 there will be pizza available to purchase in the cafeteria and the Scholastic Book Fair will be taking place in the library.  From 6:00-6:45 participants can view TV Production class videos in the library, view student art projects in the main hallway, work on art projects, go to a plant sale, go to the book fair, or meet with our public library staff from the St. Johns County Public Library Southeast branch.  From 7:00-7:45 everyone can make their way to the auditorium to hear the chorus sing, then view a drama performance, and we finish off the evening with the jazz band playing some songs.
Fall in the Library
Please congratulate your children on their reading progress this year. As of October 12, 2016 we have already circulated 6,269 print books and 417 ebooks.  Many of your students are beginning to read MackinVIA ebooks in their Language Arts classes using iPads. Don't forget, the MackinVIA app is available for students to download for free on their tablets or phones so they can read at home too. If you have any trouble with the app, please feel free to send Mr. Greco an email message at . We want to ensure each student has access after school hours to our ebook collection. You may have seen students wearing their Sunshine State Young  Reader Award brag tags. Seventy-one students have already earned their brag tags after reading at least two SSYRA books.  Please ask them to tell you about the books they have read. Our Fall Scholastic Book Fair will be held Monday, October 31 - Friday, Nov. 4 with one evening opening on Thursday November 3, 2016. Thank you for supporting our book fair, it will be a perfect time to start thinking of purchasing holiday gifts. All profits will be used to provide additional library books for our students here at GRMS!

Congratulations to Jessica Fader! She is the first Stingray to read all 15 SSYRA Books AND earn 15 brag tags from the media center!
