BIKE MS
|
The Bike MS event's rolling closures Sunday will shut the southbound Henry Hudson Parkway from Riverdale to 55
th
St. from 7 a.m. to noon. Drivers from the north should switch to the Major Deegan to the Third Avenue Bridge to the FDR.
In addition, the
southbound
West Side Highway from 55
th
St. to Battery Pl. will close from 7 a.m. to about 10 a.m., The
northbound
FDR Drive will close from about 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and the Harlem River Drive closed northbound until about noon.
One tube of the Holland Tunnel will be closed 7 a.m. to 8, and the GW Bridge will have some turbulence in the morning as riders take the bike path.

JETS VS. VIKINGS
|
Just as that traffic turbulence subsides, many Jet fans will take to the roads for the 1 p.m. game Sunday against the Vikings. The better route is NJ Transit from Penn Station to Secaucus to the Meadowlands. There are extra trains gamedays.

SOUTHBOUND HUTCH CLOSED
|
From 11 p.m. tonight until 5 a.m. Monday, the southbound Hutchinson River Parkway will be closed from the Cross County to I-95.

BROOKLYN
MARATHON & HALF MARATHON
|
The Brooklyn Marathon & Half Marathon in Prospect Park Saturday also closes Ocean Parkway from Park Circle to Quentin Road 6 a.m. to noon, and southbound Ocean Ave. from Flatbush to Parkside Ave. until 11 a.m. This has major repercussions for traffic trying to cross the Parkway.
