November 8 Is A BIG Day for Trauma Funding
Vote YES on Amendment 4

A "yes" vote for Amendment 4 on November 8, 2016 would dedicate revenue from fireworks sales taxes (these taxes are already being imposed and collected) to trauma care, fire protection services and public safety.

Origin of Amendment 4
The Georgia State Legislature legalized the sale of fireworks in 2015. The proposed constitutional amendment 4 would require that proceeds of excise taxes raised from fireworks sales be used for trauma care, fire services, and local public safety purposes.

The allocation of funds collected
The revenue generated from fireworks sales excise taxes would be allocated in the following way.
▪    55 % of revenue would go toward the Georgia Trauma Care Network Commission
▪    40 % of revenue would go toward the Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council. Specifically, the revenue would be used to fund a grant program for improving the equipment and training of Georgia firefighters.
▪   5 % of revenue would go toward local governments, to be used specifically for public safety purposes.

REMEMBER THIS IS NOT A NEW TAX!  Amendment 4 simply dedicates and allocates the taxes already being collected.

Please Vote “YES” for Amendment 4 and encourage your friends, family, staff and patients to also vote.  Share our Facebook and Twitter posts to raise awareness for this very important issue.
