The Griffin-Spalding County School System (GSCS) Communications Department received three Gold Award of Merit and two Silver Awards of Merit. The awards were presented at the Georgia School Public Relations Association (GSPRA) annual conference in Saint Simons Island on October 22-23, 2017.
The highest ranking Gold Award of Merit was for the "GSCS Can't Stop the Feeling" video which was shown at the 2017 Education Celebration to get our educators and administrators pumped up and excited to kick-off the 2017-18 school year. Judges commented that the video was a great concept, well executed and a lot of fun.
The district's 2017-18 School Calendar earned Gold Award recognition for being easy to read and a great resource for parents.
The school system's weekly staff e-newsletter, The GSCS Communicator, also received a Gold Award. Judges stated that the newsletter is well-written and contains lots of great information for employees.
