Join the 100-plus troops that have already opted in to the opportunity catalog!

The opportunity catalog is the online listing of all available troops open to girls in our area who are ready to join Girl Scouts. Sign up your troop before September 30, and your name will be entered into a raffle to win cool prizes, like a tablet or a s'mores-making kit.

It's easy to opt in! Email and include the words "opt in" and your troop number in the subject line. We'll send you a confirmation email once your troop is live. Raffle results will be announced in October.

Rachel Z. completed her Gold Award project this year by educating her community on the superior abilities of service dogs and Canine Partners for Life, an organization dedicated to training service dogs for individuals who have physical and cognitive disabilities. Rachel realized the independence dogs provide to their owners, and decided to raise awareness about how the dogs are raised, the jobs they perform, and the critical need to raise them in her community. She hosted events, gave presentations, and even wrote, illustrated, and printed a book about training these highly skilled dogs!  Congratulations, Rachel!

Girls from Troop 89010 visited
Cedar Crest College this week. The girls heard from Mary Ozechoski, vice president of student affairs, about the school, studying abroad, and campus life. Check out our  Facebook post to learn more about the girls' trip.
Girl Scout Emily M. is one of 373
recipients of this year's Congressional Award, which is given to students who demonstrate a year of unprecedented leadership. Here's Emily with Paxton Baker, chairman of the National Board of Directors for the award and Brendan Boyle, who represents the 13th District of Pennsylvania.

Girl Scout Lena K. of Northampton
created an interactive anti-bullying project that earned her the National Liberty Museum TD Bank Young Heroes Award, which recognizes students who bring about positive change in their schools and community! Congrats, Lena!
