GSSCC's 25th Anniversary Logo Contest
Deadline for Submissions is Friday

GSSCC members interested in submitting entries for the Chamber's Silver Anniversary, and plans are underway to celebrate this milestone in style.The contest that is open to all members.  The winner will receive a $500 prize. The winning design, to be used on all printed and electronic materials, the Chamber's website, and all promotional items, will be selected by a committee chosen by the GSSCC Board. Submissions are due by close of business this Friday, August 25

Entries must be submitted electronically to Jane Redicker . Designs must maintain the integrity of the current GSSCC logo, with no alterations to current colors (for specific PMS colors, contact Jane Redicker). Submissions may be made as jpg files, but winners will be required to provide vector art originals prior to final selection. Limit three entries per person. Designs may not include copyrighted materials and all fonts must be acquired legally. The winning design and all vector art files become the property of GSSCC.

GSSCC is also offering members the opportunity to create the 25th Anniversary theme or tagline to be used throughout the year. Entries should be submitted to Jane Redicker by this Friday, August 25. Limit three entries per person.
* Friends of the Library Montgomery County (FOLMC) sold a rare, autographed, limited first edition of Ernest Hemingway's "Farewell to Arms," for $6,000. The book, found in a box of donations in November 2015, is the highest value volume ever sold by FOLMC. The proceeds will be used at libraries across the county.

* Bump'n Grind (1200 East West Highway) will host Pechakucha Night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, August 25.  For more information, click here.

Note: Most committees take a break from meetings during August.
About GSSCC Committee/Team Meetings:  All GSSCC members are welcome to participate in Chamber committees. Members are welcome to attend committee meetings to assess interest in joining a committee. Meetings are typically held in the GSSCC Conference Room. Advance RSVP is required and priority will be given to existing committee members when speakers are scheduled.
