Introducing GSSEF's Comings & Goings
To give our best, we hire the best, but sometimes we also have to bid farewell to those near and dear to us.

Please join us in wishing our Recruitment Specialist, Jennifer Joyce, well as she relocates to Jacksonville, Florida to accept the role as an Admissions Coordinator at the University of North Florida, and to be closer to family.
Jennifer has been with us for 15 months, and has done an exceptional job at strengthening our Council's ability to serve and provide more leadership opportunities for girls in our community. Jennifer's positive energy and enthusiasm towards our mission will be missed.

As our search for Jennifer's replacement is underway, please direct any questions regarding recruitment and membership in the Treasure Coast and Western Palm Beach County to Lammy Askar, director of new member engagement to
laskar@gssef.org or (954) 513-3771.

Please continue to direct your questions regarding troop placement to your Placement Specialist, Kim Brunelle, at
kbrunelle@gssef.org or (561) 427-0259.

Please also help us in giving a warm sendoff to our Marketing Specialist, Rachel Goossens, who will be leaving us at the end of February. For the past year and a half Rachel has thoroughly enjoyed working alongside of and supporting each department's marketing initiatives. You may have also seen some of her artistic talents behind the designs in our event flyers. Rachel's bubbly personality and creative abilities will be missed, and we wish her the best of luck as she ventures outside of Girl Scouting.

Following Rachel's departure, please address any media inquiries to Melinda Glasco, director of marketing and communications to
mglasco@gssef.org or (561) 561-427-0176.

A World Thinking Day Award is an Official Award
On February 22nd of each year, Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from 146 countries  celebrate World Thinking Day - that's one BIG celebration!

Girl Scouts celebrate World Thinking Day by participating in activities and projects with global themes to honor their sister Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. The World Thinking Day 2017 theme is "Grow."

The World Thinking Day award activities are designed to complement the
Girl Scout leadership journeys. The World Thinking Day award is now an
Official Award and, therefore, it may be worn on the front of the official
uniform sash or vest in the same area where the badges go, which is the
same side as the Girl Scout Council identification set.
