NEW STREAMLINED Process for Reserving GSSEF Campsites: It Will Make Your Life Easier
We are very pleased to announce that  you can now reserve and pay for a campsite online! You will not only be able to select your site and specific weekend from the Events and Activities Listings, you may also reserve and pay for archery time, canoeing time and pool time - all of this in ONE computer session.

Troop Leaders Guide for registering for GSSEF Troop Camping Weekends

PLEASE NOTE: This process is for making a reservation for a campsite only. Submission of a Travel Application for GSSEF approval of the activity, as well as submission of a Participant Roster is required no less than 21 days prior to your camping date.

There is a brand new Troop Camping Travel Application and Participant Roster that has been created specifically for troop camping. This is a fillable form designed to be emailed to GSSEF Operations Manager, Pam Ashworth, [email protected].

The Troop Camping Travel Application and Participant Roster will be located on the GSSEF website in the Forms section under the Frequently Accessed Forms section. In addition, they will be attached to each troop camping weekend "campaign" so when you make a reservation for troop camping, the forms will populate in the leader's "MYGS" community with the registration.

Seeking Adult Volunteer Help at Camp Nocatee!
We need adults who own and know how to safely operate their chainsaws to come out to Camp Nocatee to help Camp Ranger Steve Woodby cut up hurricane-damaged trees and stack the wood into piles. Steve estimates that 40% of our trees came down and most local tree services are currently under contract with Glades Electric. Camp Nocatee is closed to camping.

We welcome adults who have chainsaws, and can be given direction by Steve and go do the work. This IS NOT a girl event (it is too dangerous) nor is it an organized work day - this IS a come-when-you-can activity. GSSEF will provide fuel and bar &chain oil, but we request you provide your own food and drink.

Please call Steve Woodby directly to make arrangements, 561-301-9766. Thank you so much!

Contact Cindy McHeran, [email protected] if you have any questions.

On the Move at GSSEF

It is with great pleasure that we welcome Lastree Lemene to our Member Engagement team as the Recruitment Manager for Palm Beach County! Lastree began her Girl Scout journey on Monday, September 18 and comes to  us with a recruitment background from Big Brothers Big Sisters where she also began and still continues to be a Big Sister.

Lastree is a 7 year Palm Beach County resident. She grew up in Petion-Ville, Haiti, and moved to Gainesville, Florida at the age of 16 where she completed her high school studies. Lastree attended and graduated from the University of Florida and proudly represents her alma mater and the orange and blue every opportunity she gets!  Lastree's passion has always been to help and empower children, and one of her favorite quotes is "I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples."

Lastree will be covering Jupiter, Tri-Star, Leo and Sunchariot Service Units, and will be attending meetings in the upcoming weeks as she continues her on-boarding and trainings.

Welcome Lastree!

G.I.R.L.s in Troop 30143 renewed their commitment to the Girl Scout Law and Promise during a special re-dedication ceremony. Over the summer the troop bridged from Cadettes to Seniors. They each lit a candle to symbolize entering the new world of Senior Girl Scouts. A necklace with a gold key charm was given to them as a reminder of their commitment to Girl Scouts.
