2018 Green Truck Summit keynote announced
Kary Schaefer, general manager of marketing and strategy for Daimler Trucks North America's Freightliner Trucks and Detroit brands, will serve as keynote speaker at NTEA's 2018 Green Truck Summit on Tuesday, March 6. Her speech will address the diversity of available new technologies, as well as ongoing developments in clean diesel, natural gas and electrification. Meetings of interest scheduled during The Work Truck Show ® 2018
Three representatives from South Shore Clean Cities will discuss the Michigan to Montana (M2M) I-94 Clean Fuel Corridor project on Thursday, March 8 from 1-2 p.m. Register to attend.

PG&E targets medium- and heavy-duty electrification
California-based Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) announced it will begin developing four new pilot projects aimed at helping fleet and residential customers simplify electric vehicle (EV) charging. PG&E's projects aim to support widespread EV adoption, with a focus on medium- to heavy-duty vehicles since these vehicles typically run on diesel. Full story
New heavy-duty vehicle emissions calculator launched by Argonne
Argonne National Laboratory has launched the Heavy-Duty Vehicle Emissions Calculator. According to NGVAmerica President Daniel Gage, "This calculator demonstrates that allocating funds to deploy low-NOx natural gas vehicles provides the best way to deliver immediate and cost-effective NOx reductions and air quality benefit." Lightning Systems using AI to monitor fuel economy, emissions
Lightning Systems is using artificial intelligence to predict the fuel economy and tailpipe emissions of fleet vehicles, which looks to help fleets monitor vehicle maintenance and track routes in an effort to decrease fuel usage and emissions. Full story
