California readies $398-million green truck incentive package
California wants to turbocharge electric trucking by offering a $398-million round of incentive funding for buyers of the green vehicles.  It's part of the state's plan to promote technologies that can reduce the harmful effects of diesel emissions. Full story
First FedEx Ground provider adds Workhorse electric van
Workhorse Group Inc. announced Colonial Routes Inc. in Farmington, New York, is the first FedEx independent service provider in the country to participate in Workhorse's new nationwide program for FedEx Ground delivery vehicles. Full story

Propane autogas fuels ReadyRefresh delivery trucks
Environmental stewardship is driving Nestlé Waters North America's deployment of more than 400 additional medium-duty ReadyRefresh by Nestlé beverage delivery trucks fueled by propane autogas. The company now operates nearly 600 of these alternatively fueled trucks, which make up about 30 percent of its total North American fleet. Full story
Senate passes tax bill, but will EV incentive survive?
The fate of a federal electric vehicle (EV) tax credit remains uncertain after the U.S. Senate approved sweeping tax reform legislation.  The Senate GOP bill, which passed 51-49 along party lines, would maintain the Section 30D Plug-in Electric Drive Vehicle Credit. Full story
