NTEA's Truck Equipment 101
As part of an ongoing effort to support workforce development in the industry, NTEA has produced Truck Equipment 101, a training program covering all aspects of work trucks and the industry - from chassis and powertrains to bodies and cab styles. This introductory course, made up of 15 video-based modules, provides an industry overview, insight into systems that make up a truck, and basic regulatory requirements applicable to U.S. and Canadian markets. Mitsubishi Fuso launches electric truck brand E-Fuso
Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation announced it will electrify its complete range of trucks and buses in upcoming years. The company launched E-Fuso, a product brand exclusively dedicated to electric mobility of trucks and buses, and unveiled its all-electric heavy-duty truck concept. Full story
EPA to issue a proposed rule repealing Phase 2 rule for glider kits
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) notified the Office of Management and Budget the agency intends to issue a proposed rule repealing the greenhouse gas Phase 2 emissions requirement for glider vehicles, glider engines and glider kits. Full story
Orders open for electrified Transit van conversion
Lightning Systems is accepting pre-orders for its new zero-emissions LightningElectric system for Ford Transit.  The LightningElectric battery conversion package is available for Ford Transit as part of Ford Motor Company's eQVM program. Full story
New CARB testing facility will place heavier emphasis on diesel trucks
The California Air Resources Board's (CARB) new 380,000-square-foot headquarters in Riverside will feature a dedicated testing area for heavy- and medium-duty trucks that run on diesel fuel. Full story
Spartan to build all-electric walk-in van fleet for AmeriPride
Spartan Fleet Vehicles and Services accepted and will fulfill a 20-unit order from AmeriPride Services for a walk-in van solution that integrates the Utilimaster body design with Motiv Power Systems' electric vehicle propulsion solution.
