Motiv scores first California certification for medium-duty EV chassis
Motiv Power Systems received the first zero-emission chassis certification from the California Air Resources Board (CARB), an achievement that gives it a significant leg up in the medium-duty electric truck market. Full story
ROUSH CleanTech is the first propane autogas fuel system manufacturer to receive the Environmental Protection Agency's and CARB's heavy duty-onboard diagnostics (HD-OBD) certification for all its engines. Until 2018 model year, alternative fuel vehicles had been exempt from this certification, but are now held to the same requirements as gasoline vehicles. Full story
Workhorse launches pilot program for lightweight electric vans in San Francisco
Workhorse Group will begin deploying the country's first fleet of all-electric, zero-emission electric cargo vans in the San Francisco Bay Area.  The company's "N-Gen" vans will be used by a local package delivery firm, which is leasing them from Workhorse's distribution and service partner, Ryder System. Cummins rebrands as Cummins Integrated Power
Cummins is repositioning itself in the heavy-duty marketplace with a new name for its expanding portfolio of motive technologies. The new name, Cummins Integrated Power, denotes both the company's expertise in technology integration and its reach into different alternative fuel segments, including diesel, natural gas, hybrid and battery-electric. Full story
