    2014 WIN Grant Presentation

Last Thursday we kicked off the Holiday Season with our Women In Networking (WIN) Group Holiday Hoopla and Apps Celebration. At this special event 3 women-owned enterprises were given just over $3000 in grants to help them grow their business. Congratulations to Move Books of Beacon Falls, the Connecticut Partnership for Children of Seymour and Wildflour Cupcakes and Sweets of Seymour. Since the inception of their grant program, WIN has distributed over $44,000 in grants to 41 Valley women owned businesses and has a named fund through the Valley Community Foundation. In more Chamber committee giving news, the Chamber's Young Emerging Professionals (YEP) raised $5,000 at their annual Pinktoberfest event which benefits the Hewitt Breast Wellness Center at Griffin Hospital. Since the start of their Pinktoberfest, they have donated close to $20,000 to Griffin.


Join us as we continue to celebrate the successes of 2014 at both our Annual Holiday Gathering tomorrow evening (Wednesday, December 10th 5pm-7pm) at the Courtyard by Marriott. Not only will there be some great drink specials, but also the opportunity to win 2 tickets to the New Haven Symphony Orchestra's Holiday Pops Concert or a Fourpack of tickets to the Bridgeport SoundTigers or an Overnight at the Courtyard by Marriott. Plus, YEP will be at the door collecting new unwrapped toys for the TEAM Toys for Kids program. Please see the details below.
