South Florida's Top 5 Physician Practice Groups 2014
|
The South Florida Business Journal has just released its annual list of top Physician Practice Groups in the region. Ranked by number of physicians, the top five are:
- Baptist Health Medical Group (128)
- CAC Florida Medical Centers (146)
- Pediatric Associates (150)
- Holy Cross Medical Group (157)
- UHealth-University of Miami Health System (1200)
Demonstrating the consolidation in the industry, it's notable that last year UHealth had 1000 doctors. Not all efforts at combination are effective though. Last year Mount Sinai Medical Center boasted 657 physicians. This year they are not included in the top five. Another 2013 list member, Tenet Florida Physician Services, also dropped out of the top five.
