Boca Raton Regional Hospital to Enter Broward County

Boca Raton Regional Hospital will establish its first facility in Broward County after recently breaking ground in Deerfield Beach. The nonprofit hospital is making good on the promise of geographic expansion it made when it traded the "community" in its name for "regional" several years ago. The 25,000-square-foot ambulatory care center will have 25 to 30 employees, said VP of marketing Thomas Chakurda. Located at 3313 West Hillsboro Blvd., the facility will handle primary care, urgent care, radiology and breast health. Boca Raton Regional Hospital is led by Jerry Fedele, CEO. Associates, Inc., the national performance improvement firm that measures patient satisfaction and experiences to improve healthcare delivery. The Guardian of Excellence awards recognize top-performing healthcare providers that have consistently reached the 95th percentile - meaning that they score higher than 95 percent of other organizations - for patient satisfaction, employee and physician engagement, or clinical quality performance. Press Ganey makes the awards annually, based on each reporting period over the course of one year (May 2012 through April 2013). Press Ganey honored the following Memorial hospitals: - Memorial Regional Hospital - Guardian of Excellence Award in Patient Satisfaction for Inpatient Behavioral Health
- Memorial Regional Hospital South - Guardian of Excellence Award in Patient Satisfaction for Outpatient Services
- Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital - Guardian of Excellence Award in Patient Satisfaction for Inpatient Pediatrics and Outpatient Services
- Memorial Hospital Miramar - Guardian of Excellence in the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Health Plans Survey (HCAHPS), administered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ)
