Larkin Community Hospital Receives Approval for New Medical Residency Training Programs

The AOA granted the hospital approval to train medical residents in Orthopedic Surgery and Pediatric Dermatology.
The main training site for the Orthopedic Residency Program will be the Center for Advanced Orthopedics at Larkin, which specializes in advanced orthopedic surgery using the latest multimodal perioperative pain management modalities and state of art technology and instrumentation with advanced robotic technology. The center, led by orthopedic surgeon Carlos Lavernia, MD, includes an outcomes-oriented research component with an ongoing prospective surgical registry and a comprehensive rehabilitation department.
Larkin is led by CEO Sandy Sosa-Guerrero.

Anthony E. Addesa, MD, has joined the oncology team at Jupiter Medical Center's Ella Milbank Foshay Cancer Center as Medical Director of Radiation Oncology. In this position, Dr. Addesa will utilize his expertise in acute cancer care to further enhance the Foshay Cancer Center. Dr. Addesa is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology and has more than 18 years of experience in the field. He is fluent in Spanish, Italian and French.
"Under Dr. Addesa's leadership, Jupiter Medical Center's Foshay Cancer Center is changing the way radiation oncology care is delivered in Palm Beach County," said Dr. Abraham Schwarzberg, Chief of Oncology at Jupiter Medical Center.
