The board's purpose is to examine how Shareable Ink's products are used in real-world settings in order to help build the next generation of anesthesia technology.
Based in Broward, Sheridan is one of the leading providers of healthcare solutions for anesthesiology and other specialties to physicians, hospitals and outpatient centers. It is led by John Carlyle, CEO.

CareCloud gets $26M in financing

CareCloud received $25.5 million in debt financing to support the growth of its medical practice management, and billing and electronic health records programs.
The Miami-based cloud technology company received the financing from Hercules Technology Growth Capital (NYSE: HTGC), which specializes in lending to high-growth companies and venture capital firms.
CareCloud is among the fastest-growing companies in South Florida. The company is led by Chairman and CEO Albert Santalo.

Boca Raton Regional Hospital Receives Top Healthgrades Designation in Maternity Care

Boca Raton Regional Hospital announced on June 19th that its Toppel Family Place has received the 2014 Maternity Care Excellence Award™ from Healthgrades�, the leading online resource for comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals. The distinction places Boca Regional in the top 10 percent of all hospitals evaluated for exceptional care provided to mothers during and after childbirth and to their newborns. This is the fourth consecutive year that Toppel Family Place has been so honored.
To help consumers evaluate and compare hospital performance in maternity care, Healthgrades analyzed patient outcome data for hospitals in 17 states that provided all-payor data for the years 2010-2012. Healthgrades' study found that variation in hospital performance can make a material difference in terms of clinical outcomes. Its report highlights that mothers treated at hospitals earning the Maternity Care Excellence Award (five stars) had 54.3 percent fewer complications during a vaginal delivery and 77.5 percent fewer if undergoing a C-section as compared to patients undergoing similar procedures at one-star rated facilities.
