, has been named President of the Executive Council of the
American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery
(ASMBS). Dr. Rosenthal, who will serve a one-year term, was installed during the annual ASMBS meeting in Los Angeles, Calif., held on November 2-6, 2015.

Under Dr. Rosenthal's leadership, Cleveland Clinic Florida's Bariatric and Metabolic Institute has been named a
Center of Excellence by the
American College of Surgeons and the
American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons and has full accreditation by
The Fellowship Council in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery. It is the largest bariatric program in Florida and also one of the largest training programs in the United States, mentoring clinical and research fellows on a yearly basis.
