The Healthcare Roundtable Announces 2nd Charity Tie-In for Upcoming Event
In light of the two recent super storms, Harvey and Irma, The Healthcare Roundtable has just announced that a second worthy organization has been added as a charitable recipient for their event early next month. The American Red Cross joins The Breast Cancer Research Foundation as event beneficiaries.
Entitled Women in Medicine: Born to Lead, the event will be held at Florida Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale on Tues., 10/3/17 from 7:30 to 9:30 am. Greenspoon Marder will again serve as Title Sponsor and health law attorney Jodi Laurence will lead the discussion in the Moderator role. Danna-Gracey will sponsor as well and Matt Gracey will deliver Closing Remarks.
Since 2014, The Healthcare Roundtable has participated in the national, AMA-endorsed Women in Medicine celebration each autumn by showcasing some of South Florida's special female healthcare professionals. This year's provocative and timely panel discussion will feature four more remarkable women. The program serves as a platform to underscore the accomplishments of women physicians and also highlights advocacy needs related to professional concerns of women physicians and health issues impacting female patients.

MCHS CEO Named a Becker's Hospital Review' Leader to Know 2017'
Dr. Narendra Kini, CEO of Miami Children's Health System (MCHS), is recognized by Becker's Hospital Review in its 2017 list of Physician Leaders of Hospitals and Health Systems. The list honors leaders who demonstrate outstanding leadership and clinical expertise throughout their careers.
Dr. Kini's vision to extend Nicklaus Children's quality pediatric care to children and families around the world came to fruition with the creation of the hospital's Telehealth Center, which offers an array of telehealth programs that cater to the needs of families, from second opinion consultations, physician-to-physician consults, virtual diagnostics, and much more. Under his leadership, a network of pediatric outpatient centers and urgent care facilities, which span from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties, were developed to provide top pediatric specialists and urgent care services to families close to home.
Dr. Kini is among 112 hospital and health system presidents and CEOs, all of whom hold medical degrees, recognized in this year's list.
