October 22nd and 23rd, 2016 - Magic Kaladesh Game Days

Join us for our Kaladesh Game Day, our first Standard tournament beyond FNM after a new set's release.

We will be holding two tournaments over the weekend, one on Saturday at noon, and one on Sunday at 1 pm. You can play in one or both, and earn some very awesome promotional cards and get a chance at winning the Champion playmat (shown above).

Format: Standard constructed

Entry: $10.00
Prizing: 2 vouchers per person will be added to the prize pool. Promo cards will be given out for participating, and special promos will go to Top 8 finalists. A Championship playmat for the overall winner.

GameKnight is proud to host a Pokemon Prerelease, featuring the upcoming new set, XY Evolutions! Starting at 12:00 pm noon on Saturday, October 22nd, 2016, this will be Winnipeg's first glimpse at all of the new Pokemon cards.

Entry will be $35.00 per player.

This tournament is a sealed deck tournament with a twist: each player will receive a special prerelease box containing a 22-card Prerelease pack to provide a solid foundation, plus four 10-card booster packs and an exclusive foil promo card. Players will use the cards from their Prerelease box, plus basic Energy cards provided by GameKnight, to build a 40-card deck. Players may not trade any cards prior to the end of the tournament, and may not use any c ards other than those opened in their sealed packs and basic energy.

The tournament will include multiple Swiss-style rounds. Each single-match round will be played for four prize cards (instead of six).

At the end of the tournament, each player will receive a further THREE booster packs, just for participating!

Pre-registration is available for this tournament at GameKnight Games. Seating is limited to 32 players, so reserve your spot today! Players must have and know their trainer ID to attend this event, as we cannot rely on the Pokemon website being available during the event itself. A trainer ID can be obtained for free at pokemon.com.

November 12th, 2016 - Star Wars X Wing Regional Championship

GameKnight Games is hosting a Regional Championship for the very popular Star Wars: X Wing Miniatures game by Fantasy Flight Games.
