Support the IICF's Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief Fund
Follow the Link to Help Those in Need

Hurricane Harvey has left a staggering number of Texans and others throughout the Southeast facing the catastrophic aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, including the heartbreaking devastation of homes lost and even worse. With tens of thousands still displaced and living in emergency shelters - and close to 200,000 homes damaged or destroyed by the unprecedented rainfall and flooding - the need for help is immense.

Now is one of those crucial times when we can join together as an industry, and as Americans, and truly embody the IICF mission of helping communities, together.

Last week the IICF Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief Fund was established and together have raised more than $175,000 so far - through generous company donations and an incredible number of contributions from nearly 700 individual insurance professionals wanting to help those in need.

IICF will collect and total all donations made through this fund and forward 100% of these insurance industry contributions to the local nonprofits supporting victims in the area, including a portion to the American Red Cross and specifically its Hurricane Harvey disaster fund. The IICF is doing continuous research to determine the best organizations on the ground in Houston to support. Thank you for your contribution.

Sustaining Partners Attend the GIS Leadership Symposium!
August 25-27, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio

From August 25 through August 27, 94 student leaders from 68 chapters gathered in Columbus, Ohio for this year's Leadership Symposium. The days were long and packed with activity, but also fun and productive!

Friday's session included a "Meet and Greet" with 21 of Gamma Iota Sigma's Sustaining Partners, followed by first-ever career reception with those Sustaining Partners. During the mini career fair, students had one on one discussions with those organizations.  Nationwide provided Leadership Training to the group later in the day. For evening fun, students went to Magic Mountain Fun Center for pizza, arcade games, go-karts and miniature golf.

On Saturday, students participated in discussions and sessions focused on a variety of topics to get prepared for the new school year. The day ended with dinner out at Gordon Biersch Brewery that evening. After sessions Sunday morning learning chapter reporting and getting details on the Annual Conference, students departed well-prepared and geared up for a wonderful 2017-2018!

Thank you to our Sustaining Partners for your continued support!
