Sweet Springtime Medicine: Making Cordials, Syrups and Herbal Honeys

In this class, you'll learn to make medicine that's good for the body, heart, soul -- and your tastebuds. Using locally-grown and sustainably wildcrafted herbs (many of which can be found in your own backyard or kitchen!) we'll learn how to prepare delicious yet therapeutic cordials, herbal syrups, and infused medicinal honeys. We'll also talk about wellness treatments specific for this time of year, such as strengthening the immune system to ward off colds and flus, and boosting energy after a winter's worth of long, lazy days inside.

Beginners and advanced herbalists welcome! Each participant will come away with an herbal syrup or honey, recipes, and tons of hand-outs to guide sweet medicine explorations in the future.

Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises

Workshop April 28th in Corte Madera

TRE stands for Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises and has been developed by Dr. David Berceli. These exercises help individuals release stress or tension as a result of difficult life circumstances, immediate or prolonged stressful situations, or traumatic life experiences. TRE is a set of six simple exercises that help individuals release tension in the muscles, which in turn relaxes the anxiety of our minds, by evoking a muscular shaking process in the body.

Click here to learn more about TRE and the upcoming workshop at Yoga Center of Marin in Corte Madera

Gathering Thyme is owned and staffed by highly skilled holistic practitioners with the goal of educating and supporting the health of our community with the use of herbs and other natural remedies.
