Good News Georgia
A LOOK BACK AT 2015

Economic conditions in Georgia have shown strong growth through the past two fiscal years. Just five months in to this fiscal year our revenue growth is 9.1% overall.

Georgia continues to retain a AAA bond rating.

Georgia created 92,900 jobs in the last 12 months and 42,600 jobs in the last 3 months. The strongest growth since 1994.

Georgia is now 3rd in the U.S. in film and TV production.

Our Ports completed a 5th straight Year of record international trade with a 17% increase in FY 2015 with container traffic up 11% and total cargo up 7.8%.  The Brunswick Port continues rapid growth in auto shipping and receiving, increasing 7.8% this past Fiscal Year.

UPCOMING IN THE  2016 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Passing a balanced budget is the constitutional requirement of the Georgia Legislature. The state must address a growing population, rising healthcare costs, education, transportation, and other pressing needs with a limited amount of funds.

I will continue to work tirelessly to represent you and make our entire state a better place to live, work, and raise families.

I hope you will look forward to my weekly newsletters updating you on the progress of the 2016 Georgia General Assembly.

I will certainly look forward to hearing from you!
