Dear Students, Parents, Grandparents, and Staff,   
    Happy October! We have a busy month ahead of us. Our 8th grade is off to the Community Harvest Food Bank today for their Stewardship Day. This is an annual tradition where they give back to the community! Great job, 8th grade! Speaking of 8th grade, they are off to their Confirmation Youth Rally in Mishawaka on October 14. Please keep them in your prayers as they prepare for this beautiful sacrament. 
     It's Book Fair time next week!!! Be sure to come to Books n' Buddies on Wednesday night at 6:00 PM in the Media Center. We have some staff and students coming to read their favorite books to students who attend. Don't forget to wear your PJ's! The Book Fair will have various times during the week that it will be open for our parents to come shop. Please check out the information in the Wednesday envelope! Finally, Friday, October 13th is Generation's Day!! Check out the flyer in today's Wednesday's envelope. It will tell you the day's agenda. We look forward to seeing all of our visitors on Generation's Day! 
     Thanks so much to everyone's support in flipping our dismissal lots! Our parents, students, and staff have done a terrific job.

Grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts, uncles, and special friends are welcome to come spend the morning with our PK-8 students, check out the photo booth, enjoy a donut, and visit the Book Fair!

Picture Re-takes

Picture-Retake day is October 9th.  If your student did not get his/her picture taken yet, they have the opportunity to do so on October 9th.  If your student is getting pictures retaken, please make sure he/she brings their pictures with them to hand to the photographer on October 9th.

Halloween Dance (Grades 6-8)

Dear Parents and Students,
            We are excited to announce that student council will be hosting a fall dance on Friday, November 3rd. The dance will be held at the PAC at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School from 6:30 to 9:00pm. $5 tickets will be sold during lunch October 30th -November 3rd. Tickets will not be sold during the time of the actual dance. This dance is for Saint Elizabeth students in grades 6-8 and invited other Catholic schools.
Each grade is responsible for bringing one of the following items:
6th- A Salty Snack (Pretzels, chips, etc.)
7th- A Sweet Snack (Licorice, baked goods, candy, etc.)
8th- 2-Liter Bottle of Soda
*Please refrain from bringing nut or peanut products for kids with allergies*
You may wear a costume to this dance! No offensive attire. There will be a costume contest, karaoke, and a photo booth! Pictures will be made available electronically for your purchasing at your leisure.
If you do not wear a costume, other appropriate attire for the dance is as follows:

Scrip Update

Hello Pioneer Families!  Welcome to October!  This is typically the month that things start hopping in the SCRIP office.  We all start thinking about the holidays with the cooler weather.  The meals that will be prepared, the family gatherings planned, and families utilizing SCRIP to make it all happen!   We can help you with all your Fall events.  Food shopping is so easy when you use SCRIP.  We have Kroger, Meijer, and Wal Mart on hand for your convenience.  If you are in need of bulk shopping, there is no problem!  We have you covered with Visa for Costco purchases and we can order Gordon Food Service each Monday!  If you have family coming in to stay for a long weekend, think about using SCRIP for your hotel purchases.  Hilton, Marriott, and Choice Hotels are all available for purchase on Monday! 
It's never too early to plan for those holiday getaways!!  Gas, hotels, and major restaurant chains are available to purchase on Mondays (via your Monday order ), during Friday Store (7am until noon), or after each Mass.  For those traveling to the House of the Mouse, Disney SCRIP is available!!  Stop by our office if you have any questions and Amanda or Jen will be ready to help.
We are excited to announce that SALSA GRILL is now available for purchase!!  The SCRIP is $10, and Salsa Grill is giving a 10% rebate!  We will be keeping it in stock in the store!
Hires Automotive is a Parish Rewards Vendor for our program!  If you get any service done at Hire's, let them know you are a Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School family, and they will send us a check for 10% of your purchase!!  You then get credit for that amount, just like if you had purchased SCRIP!  Hire's was voted Top Auto Service Center by Reader's Choice in the Journal Gazette!!  If you're looking for any car service or parts, go to Hire's!!  It pays to Shop with our Parish Rewards Vendors!

Our new Book Fair theme for fall 2016 is  ld West Book Fair: Saddle Up and Read! Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into our school. It's a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level.
Special Event: Books with Buddies - Wednesday, October 11th beginning at 6:00pm.  Students can bring their favorite stuffed animal and listen to great stories being read by guest readers while you shop at the fair! 
If you are unable to attend the Fair in person, we invite you to visit our online Book Fair at Our online Fair is available from October 4th to October 24th.  All books purchased through the online fair are delivered free to our school and sent home with your child!

All Saints Cross Country Teams

Congratulations to the "All Saints" cross country teams!  The teams competed in the Carroll Invitational last Saturday and turned in great performances.  For the boys team, Nathan Gosche led the team with a season best time. The boys varsity team finished in 6th place out of 13 teams.  Gabe Soloyom, Max Falloon and Luke Buonomo all ran personal records with Tony Allen running a season best.  The girls team was led by Alexis Miguel with her 30th place finish out of 70 runners.  The best race came from Ellie Isbister!  Ellie lowered her personal record the most and joins the varsity team!  Excellent job Ellie!  Also turning in great races was Ruthie Burton and Katie Allen in substituting for other girls to help the girls team finish 9th place out of 13 teams.  Good luck to our team as they finish their season at the Card Eagle Invitational!

School Decals For Sale
We have Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School car decals for sale! Support our school by placing a car decal on the outside of your car's window. They are only $5.00. If you write a check, please make it payable to SEASCS.

We also have cheerleading decals as well. They also are $5.00 and support the Athletic Association. As different Pioneer sports seasons occur, we will have the decals available for you to purchase. It is a great way to support Pioneer athletics!

50/50 Tuition/Cash Pay out Raffle

Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School's Home and School Association (HASA) is conducting a 50/50 tuition raffle.  One lucky family can win up to a $4,000 tuition credit for the 2018-2019 school year!  The proceeds from the raffle will benefit Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School and Parish.  Only 480 tickets will be sold! 
Raffle Ticket Donation: $20 for one ticket, or $100 for six tickets
        The winner will receive 50% of the proceeds from ticket sales up to $4,000 as a tuition credit
        The winner will select one of the following options:
        Apply the SEASCS tuition credit for the 2018-2019 school year
        Donate the SEASCS tuition credit to another tuition-paying family at SEASCS
        Select cash payout equivalent to 50% of the tuition credit amount
        The staff, faculty, administrators, volunteers, supporters, parents and grandparents of SEASCS may, at their discretion, participate in this raffle. There are no limitations or exclusions on who is eligible to purchase tickets, though you must be 18 years of age to purchase a ticket.
        All prizes are subject to state and federal income taxes.
Deadline: Winner will be drawn and announced at the Seton Night Live event on Saturday, March 10, 2018.  Winner need not be present to win and will be contacted by phone and/or email.
