Grandparent Family Apartments, a joint venture of
PSS and the West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing
(a Generations United Program of Distinction). These apartments, located in New York City, house grandparents who are raising their grandchildren, giving all of them - young and old - a supportive community where they can nurture a positive family future. Read this story.

Making Toast by Roger Rosenblatt
When his daughter, Amy - a gifted doctor, mother and wife - collapsed and died from an asymptomatic heart condition - Roger Rosenblatt and his wife, Ginny, moved in with their son-in-law, Harris, to help him raise their three young grandchildren. 'Making Toast' is Roger's tribute to his late daughter and a testament to familial love.

National Arts & Humanities Youth Program Awards. The President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Institute of Museum and Library Services, is accepting applications from a
fter-school and out-of-school time arts and humanities programs.The twelve award-winning programs this year will each receive $10,000 and an invitation to accept their award from the President's Committee's Honorary Chairman, First Lady Michelle Obama, at a ceremony at the White House.
