Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children
For years, Jake Portman listened to his grandfather's stories about his childhood battling monsters and spending World War II living at "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" at Cairnholm, Wales. The home's children and their headmistress, Miss Alma Peregrine (Eva Green), possess paranormal abilities and are known as "Peculiars". Jake learns that, like his grandfather, he has the ability to see the Hollows (the monsters that prey on the Peculiars) and the ability to save them. This 2016 film is based on a novel of the same name.
