Congratulations to Our 2014 Programs of Distinction Designees Receiving this honor is no small feat. Applicants go through a rigorous consideration process by an expert review panel. That's why we take our hats off to Virginia Commonwealth University's Family Care Center, Jewish Home Lifecare's Geriatric Career Development Program and AARP Experience Corps for receiving this U.S. benchmark for intergenerational programs. Stay tuned...in the next three weeks, we'll profile each of our 2014 designees. Learn more about the designation and see our list of past winners. |

Request for Research on Intergenerational Programs
Generations United is collecting the latest research demonstrating the benefits of intergenerational programs to children, youth, older adults and communities. We're creating a one-page visual with statistics, which can be used to make the case for intentionally engaging generations. Examples of the research we would like to include are: benefits of intergenerational relationships/programs for improvements in health, increased socialization, increased academic success, community solidarity, etc. We would prefer research with quantitative data rather than personal narratives. Please send any information to Ilana Mittleman.

And they need your help. All artists, from toddlers to elders, are invited to submit a 12" square image that honors your personal experience and celebrates something about your current age.
