PALM HARBOR, FL (June 26, 2018) -
Geographic Solutions recently welcomed workforce development, labor market information, unemployment insurance, and higher education professionals from throughout the U.S. to the 15th Annual Workforce Technology Conference in Clearwater Beach, Florida. This year's attendee roster totaled over 220 attendees, representing 30 states and 98 distinct agencies. A group of 80 attendees also participated in the pre-conference training on reporting and labor market tools in Virtual OneStop.
The year 2018 marked the crystal anniversary of the Workforce Technology Conference, which started in 2003. After looking back on how it all began, the 15th conference kicked off in full swing with a packed schedule.
The conference agenda featured a variety of general sessions, panel discussions, and five breakout tracks - giving attendees more presentations to choose from than ever before.
Industry leaders and Geographic Solutions subject matter experts presented on a range of topics, which all focused on showcasing the latest online solutions designed to integrate workforce development programs. Session topics included labor market data, case management, unemployment insurance, job seeker and employer outreach, legislative updates, staff efficiency, federal reporting, and more.
In addition, attendees had the chance to network with state and local agencies from around the country, as well as participate in real-time voting and roundtable discussions on the future of the Geographic Solutions' product line. This year's conference also welcomed back popular emcee Rusty Kath for the third straight year, as well as keynote speaker Fred Johnson, who delivered an inspiring address.
