From the Executive Director
It's a sure sign of summer if the Latin America Leadership Program (LALP) is planning for ILG and GCL.

LALP is now accepting applications for the 13th edition of its   Global Competitiveness Leadership Program , which will be held from January 22-March 29, 2019. If you know any young leaders who may benefit from this program, please encourage them to apply soon. GCL 2019 online application platform closes next August 13th.

We are also currently reviewing applications for the fifth edition of our Innovation and Leadership in Government Program , which will take place at Georgetown University from September 10-28, 2018. Georgetown's ILG 2018 will also include a third edition of ILG Brazil to be held in Brasilia this fall too. Both of these ILG programs are made possible thanks to our continued partnership with Microsoft. This year, keeping up with the times, our ILG curriculum will be focused more on the urgency of digital transformation in Latin America, a much needed tool for our ILG network.

LALP has also kept busy supporting various alumni efforts, such as the launch of PLIG, a GCL Program replica in Montevideo, which I had the honor to inaugurate last month, and a publication project with GCL 2018 alumni, featuring major Latin American Leaders who are positively transforming the region. These efforts actively promote the spirit of our programs, and we are proud to support these great initiatives.

I kindly invite you to read through our summer 2018 newsletter for updates on our programs, and learn about some of the incredible impact that our alumni are having in the region. For additional questions, you can check our new bilingual website  or email us at  [email protected]

See you in the fall,
Ricardo Ernst, Ph.D.
Executive Director, Latin America Leadership Program
Managing Director, Latin American Board
