Medical Marijuana - Did You Know?
  • Under Senate Bill 523, "The Lynn and Erin Compassionate Use Act" there are 15 current qualifying conditions for medical cannabis. Learn More HERE.
           
  • Patients have the right to possess up to
    six ounces of usable cannabis, four
    mature plants and 12 seedlings.
    (Note: Usable cannabis is defined as dried leaves and flowers; it does not include seeds, stalks or roots.)
  • A primary caregiver may provide services to up to of four qualified patients under the Medical Cannabis Program. 
     
  • New Mexico is one of few states with the highest cannabis possession limits. (Oregon: 24 plants; California: 18 plants; New Mexico: 16 plants.)

New Mexico state agent caught trafficking marijuana | According to court documents, Border Patrol agents found 9.7 pounds of marijuana in the state government vehicle Velasco was driving. As New Mexico juvenile probation officer, Velasco was on official duty when he was arrested.

Every part of the hemp plant has a useful purpose, such as nutritional products, food, insulation, textiles and bio-fuel,"  Rountree wrote on his campaign site.
