Get into the Swing of Summer!

The week of the Fourth of July holiday is the epitome of summer fun. Not only do visitors to Chautauqua County have a week of Independence Day Celebrations to look forward to, but the LECOM Health Challenge, a Web.com PGA TOUR event, is also taking place at beautiful Peek'n Peak Resort now through July 8. The start of the week is time for adult and junior Pro-Am events and regular tournament play runs July 5-8 at the Upper Course. Daily General Admission tickets start at just $10!

LECOM Health Challenge - Path to PGA Tour at Peek'n Peak July 5-8, 2018

The Web.com tour identifies players that are ready to compete on golfs'' biggest stage. Known as the "Path to PGA Tour" players will compete for 50 PGA TOUR cards to earn their spot on the PGA TOUR and will continue on to close the season at the Web.com Tour Finals.
Tournament play is at Peek'n Peak Resort's Upper Course. Daily General Admission tickets start at $10. 

Sensory Night Hike at Long Point State Park on Chautauqua Lake
July 5 @ 9:00pm

Use all of your senses to explore the park in a less familiar realm as we journey into the woods with only the moonlight. Bring the kids and grandkids along as we test our senses. Meet at the Point Trailhead. Program is free to the public. Apprx 1 hr.

Fredonia History Days Friday July 6 and July 7 

Enjoy a classic car show (Friday only), candlelight tours of the Village, antique vendors, music, kid-friendly activities, garden contests, a chicken BBQ and more. Are mediums will be available for readings and consultations. 



Colin Mochrie & Brad Sherwood: "Scared Scriptless" at the Chautauqua Amphitheater, Friday

These two stars of the Emmy-nominated TV show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" will keep multiple generations laughing with their PG-rated family show. Known for interactive improvisation, this unscripted show includes variations on many of the games showcased on "Whose Line Is It Anyway?," including "Sound FX" and "One Word Expert." As Mochrie and Sherwood take caution to point out at the beginning of each show, the scenes that make up the act are entirely unscripted. 

Great Blue Heron Music Festival July 6-8 

The Great Blue Heron Music Festival delivers an eclectic musical lineup that the whole family can enjoy. Three days and nights are filled with national and regional acts on three stages highlighting Americana roots, rock, reggae, zydeco, swing, old time, hip-hop, Celtic and bluegrass styles.
Between performances, you can go for a swim at the spring-fed pond, hike or bike along forested trails, or relax at the cozy CafĂ© in the Woods. The festival midway also offers an exotic variety of fresh-cooked fare, arts & crafts. All ages will enjoy our Kids' Tent, Teen Tent and Instrument and Healing Arts workshops.

A Stir of Artists - fine art and craft show/sale at Bemus Point Lakeside Park
Sat. July 7 & Sun. 8th

Fine artisans from Western New York and northwestern Pennsylvania. Parking and admission are free for the ninth annual "A Stir of Artists" Art Show and Sale. With hours from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, the show will take place rain or shine in the Chautauqua Lake village.


Sunday Morning Vineyard Walk and Warehouse Brunch at Johnson Estate Winery
Sun. July 8 @ 9:30am

Take a brisk morning walk in the gardens and vineyards. The walking "classroom" provides information about making wine at Johnson Estate - from the bud to the bottle.  The tour begins at the front of the winery and includes a walk of approximately two miles through the vineyards, a brief winery tour, and light brunch pairing in the warehouse. RSVP required.

Art After 5 at Roger Tory Peterson Institute of Natural History
Tue. July 10 @ 5pm

Celebrate the warm weather with live music on RTPI's patio, appetizers, wine, and brief tours of the summer exhibition, "Roger Tory Peterson; The Life, The Work, The Legacy", all for a $10 donation.  Each 'Art After 5' event will feature different musicians, food, and drink. Exclusively for guests ages 21 and over.  $10 donation.
