Leaning on Each Other
Fifteen years ago, a small group of moms from Yukon decided they needed to meet up on a regular basis to talk and share resources for their children that had been diagnosed with autism.

Since that early day, this group formally merged with AutismOklahoma and still meets, at the exact same location, in the same room, with many of the same reasons for meeting: to share the joys, fears, tears, and resources with each other. The group has blossomed into so much more and has reached over 300 families throughout the years.

Amanda and her family have been attending the Canadian Valley group now for 4 years and has this to say about her experience, "The group has been like a family to us. We can go in and talk about issues we have and we are not judged by anyone in the group. Everyone is very friendly and we support each other through the good times and the rough times. We love our AutismCanadian Valley group“

MY WHY

Rachel Tutsky, Parent Support Group Leader AutismTulsa .

From the moment autism became part of my life, I knew I wanted to reach out and help others navigate life with autism. AutismOklahoma is such an amazing organization; and being able to serve with others who truly understand you and the journey is priceless."
