Growing up with my family, I was gifted with the language of "us". We have funny ways of saying things.... lots of families do.
My grandfather was the best, he would call a Mercedes "Mer-Keeds",
or at the mere mention of
Euripides— he would say .... "you mend da dese"...
I was known to "massacre" a few of my own words in childhood. When talking of my eye lashes I would call them ash-lices. Yeah, I think I have a little of my Grampa in me.
Why, you ask, am I talking of this? I want to yell to you:
HAPPY FOURTH a JA NEW YEAR!
Again something my Grampa would say on this holiday with a big hug!
Hyannis Country Gardens wishes you and your family a happy and safe
4th of July!
Make sure to see the many celebrations planned in the next couple of weeks for the Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival! They are happening all over the Cape, including events here at Hyannis Country Garden.
