Do you want an insider's view of the new Hartford mediation center?

Do you want to learn how to best make the Mediation Center work for your practice?

You need this seminar!

About the Program
Alternative dispute resolution is an indispensable tool for every attorney. With this in mind, the Connecticut Judicial Branch has opened two judicial mediation centers – one in the Waterbury courthouse at 400 Grand Street and the other in the Hartford J.D. Courthouse at 95 Washington Street.  Both of these locations include mediation rooms and state-of-the art videoconferencing equipment, and both provide the opportunity to extend mediation beyond normal court hours.

Judge Michael Riley, who is currently in charge of the Hartford Court Mediation Center, will introduce center personnel, give a tour of the Hartford Mediation Center, and explain how to best make the mediation centers work for you. Drawing on his vast trial and mediation experience, Judge Riley will also instruct on the most effective way to present your case at mediation.

April 27, 2017 Navigating Your Accounts Payable: Bills & Beyond
Sometimes it seems like there’s a regulation governing every dollar you bring into the practice.  And that goes double for money that needs to go the other way -- just think about your vendor bills, 3rd party lien claims, and the rest.

It’s not enough to have money in the bank to cover your checks. You need an adequate accounts payable solution to track where the money is going, when, and what matter it’s related to. And that’s just for starters!

When you’re acting as the fiduciary for your clients, these are not your debts, but you are held responsible. If something goes wrong, it’s your firm that’s in trouble. What do you need to know to stay safe? Attend this week’s webinar to find out...
